National Health Insurance is Not a Political Issue in America

In other countries, both Conservative and Liberal parties stay away from changes to their nationalized Medical Insurance programs. The masses won't stand for any talk of taking it away.

If Repubs really stood by their claims of Fiscal Conservatism, they would pass Single-Payer in a second, and tax the rich to pay for it. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure - this adage is what the Conservatives are not following, but it should be their motto.

If Dems stood by their claims of Social Justice, they would pass Single-Payer in a second, and tax the rich to pay for it.

But Dems, Repubs, and the Media are being bribed by the rich Corporate CEOs. The politicos stay in power by making the same promises to the electorate every 2 years, and the media helps the politicos lie about their campaign promises. The Corporate CEOs are willing to pay a lot to the media for "ads" ... so much so, that the ad revenues have become "too big to fail". Media producers will do anything to keep its "advertisement dollars".

Addendum:

The nice thing about America is even though Cons scream in protest about providing health insurance at a reasonable price, they will still not be turned back from the Emergency Room. If those who *refuse* to get insurance also *refuse* to use the Emergency Room, then I say, "Kudos to you. You have the courage of your convictions. You walk your talk."

I doubt that will happen. The Galt-loving Cons will pound at the E.R. doors: "Help me!" And they will be helped and we will all have to pitch in for their bill. Pussies.
