My email to the President, February 11, 2010
Dear President Obama,
The Republicans will never want to work with you. If it seems like they're working with you, they are actually setting you up to fail. You seem to believe the Republicans will negotiate in good faith. You cannot believe this, though, being the shrewd politician that you are. But the American people are starting to think that you are either stupid or dishonest when you hold out hope for bipartisanship.
The American people want results and change, and if the Republicans refuse to engage in bipartisanship, it is up to you to jam things through. Otherwise, Republicans will be back in power in the Congress in 2010. This may be your plan, however lamentable it is.
Thank you for taking the time to listen to someone who actually wants to see a revived, respected America.
