Why are people happy with their health insurance?
According to pollsters, people say they like their crappy health insurance.
If you were in a lifeboat and someone called and said "are you satisfied with your lifeboat?", you'd look around and say "hell yeah", because if you said "no" then maybe the person on the other end of the line would push a remote control button and sink your boat with a cheery "well good luck swimming then!"
The proper question should be "are you happy with your lifeboat, or would you prefer to be on a boat with a motor and food?" The reply would be "I'll take the motor and food!"
But we have no option, and so live in fear of our one lifeline getting taken away.
THAT's why people are "happy" with their health insurance.
