Universal Health Insurance vs. Universal Healthcare

NeoCons and their enablers like to criticize the (strawman argument) proposal that Dems want "Socialized, Government-Run Healthcare". The Cons are scaring people into believing that they will have to change doctors from their familiar, family physician, to some Soviet cartoon of crappy care. They are absolutely wrong, but being wrong has not stopped the Cons before.

The problem is the phrase "Universal Healthcare". It's as though your "Private Healthcare" doctor will be replaced with a "Universal Healthcare" doctor. There is another term, which is meant to provide an antidote to "Universal Healthcare", and that is the term "Single-Payer Healthcare". But this phrase is worse, because only about 2% of the population knows what the hell "Single-Payer" is supposed to mean.

We need to use a new term, which describes EXACTLY what Dems and Progressives want: "Universal Health Insurance". You will never hear a Con use this phrase, probably because it tested "positive" in focus groups.

So say this along with me: "Every American should be covered by Universal Health Insurance." Sounds like a good idea!
